Marbré des Alpes is a pasteurized cow’s milk cheese from France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes — a quiet, modern tribute to Morbier, its famously funky Alpine cousin.

A subtly washed rind surrounds a semi-soft paste that melts with raclette-level silk. A fine line of vegetable ash runs through the center — a traditional nod to the historic “two curdings / ash barrier” Alpine make.

Gentle barn, roasted nut, soft lactic sweetness, light smoke mineral from the ash line.
